Painted in a lovely pastel colour palette of pale pinks, blues and purple, the sitter has a beautiful elegance with a long neck, very much like the work of artist Modigliani.
The canvas has one small area of damage which isn't obvious and does not detract from the portrait. I have shown this in a close detail image.
