This delightful still life painting of a simple vase of daffodils and a pile of books, is painted in a similar style to the Bloomsbury group of artists who were a huge inspiration behind this style of painting in the early part of the 20th century.
The oil painting is on stretched canvas ready to hang. It has some historical damage to the canvas which has been repaired many years ago, most likely at the time the damage was done. It is visible from the front but only on close inspection when hung.
