An antique French cartonnage 19th Century decorative book.
The book is titled Les Adventures Telemaque.
Cartonnage binding emerged in the 19th Century in France, becoming popular with book binders as a way of showcasing their craftmanship and artistic style of the time.
They were made from stiffened card and covered in decorative paper or silk fabrics and featured intricate designs, gold tooling and vibrant colours.

There is a little historic ware to the spine on this book, consistent wth it's age and use.
