Cartonnage emerged in France in the 19th Century as a popular form of book binding using skilled craftsmen to create highly decorative book covers from thick card, covered in decorative paper or silk, gold tooling and vibrant colours.
I have 4 examples of these types of books listed seperaely but postage can be combined on multiple purchases.
Measurements are 19cm L x 11cm W.
There is some historic damage to the spine of this book.
