A beautiful and highly decorative hardwood Camphorwood, brass metal studded Zanzibar spice chest with 3 drawers to the front. These chests were made to transport spices on ships and always have a secret hidden drawer inside which this one does. They are more often used as dowry chests today and are always hand made in Zanzibar.
Measurements are 39cm L x 28cm W x 22cm H.
