The artist studied art under the prominent Swedish artist Carl Wilhelmson.
The sitter is lying on a day bed with a table in the foreground draped with a cloth and bowl. The colour palette of pink, burgundy & ochre, tone perfectly with the flesh tones of the sitter. There is a second painting on the reverse of the board of a landscape featuring roof tops against a skyline.
Framed in it's original mid century frame with burlap inset border. Measurements are 64cm L x 47cm H in the frame. The board measures 55cm L x 40cm W.
