A beautiful portrait, oil painting on canvas, of a seated lady, by artist W S Taylor 1920-2010 who studied at the RCA from 1939-43 and exhibited at the Royal Academy, amongts many other galleries, during his lifetime.
The portrait is painted on canvas which has been adhered to hardboard. The standard of painting & the accomplishment of the artist can be seen in the sitters hands, which are notoriously difficult to paint. There is a lovely textural impasto finish to the painting.
The painting is titled on the reverse - Belinda Hanika 1948.
Measurements are 51cm W x 77cm H.
