A White antique mid 19th Century Staffordshire pottery hen tureen on nest.
Circa 1860 these quirky dishes have been used to store eggs on dressers or work tops in country cottages and houses or used simply as decorative objects.
The hen has the original paint colours to the head and wattle and tail feathers and gilding around the body and along the top of the nest.
Its in good condition with no chips or cracks and measurements are 23cm L x 18cm W x 20cm H.
